Verification explained

There are two separate, optional verifications:

  • Identity verification — confirms the artisan's identity through a reviewed application. Sensitive details (such as NIN numbers or ID documents) are never displayed publicly.
  • Business verification — confirms a registered business using its CAC details. An individual artisan without CAC registration can still join.

Verification does not guarantee the quality of an artisan's work or eliminate all scam risks. It only confirms that an administrator reviewed the identity or business details. Always take reasonable care when agreeing work and making payments.

Automated NIN and CAC checks require a configured, authorised provider. Until that is set up, verification is handled through secure manual review by an administrator — no verification is ever awarded automatically.

Trust & safety

  • · You can report any profile or review that seems suspicious directly from the profile page.
  • · Administrators investigate reports and can suspend or reinstate profiles fairly.
  • · A report alone never labels someone a scammer — every report is reviewed.
  • · Private request details and reference photos are only visible to you and the intended artisan.
