Request information: customers provide job details, location, budget, preferred dates and optional reference photos.

Verification information: when you apply, we collect only what is needed for the chosen verification method.

How we use your information

· To publish artisan profiles and help customers find artisans.

· To connect customers and artisans for quotations and jobs.

· To review verification applications and award badges.

· To provide notifications, analytics and support.

What is public

Artisan name, skills, services, general location, service areas, bio, portfolio, availability, verification badges and genuine reviews. Private home addresses are not shown unless an artisan deliberately publishes them.

Sensitive data & verification

NIN numbers and identity documents are treated as highly sensitive. We avoid storing raw NIN numbers or ID images unless strictly necessary and legally permitted. Verification documents are stored privately and restricted to authorised reviewers.

Automated NIN and CAC checks are disabled until an authorised provider is configured. Until then, verification uses secure manual review.

Data retention & deletion

You can request correction of your information or deletion of your account at any time from your dashboard. Deletion requests are reviewed by administrators and appropriate data is removed.

Security

Access to records is enforced at the database level. Customers see only their own requests; artisans manage only their own profiles; verification evidence is restricted to authorised parties; only administrators can approve, verify or suspend profiles.

Nigerian data protection

Applicable Nigerian data-protection requirements (including NDPA/NDPR principles) should be reviewed before enabling identity verification. Sensitive data collection remains disabled until the process is properly configured.
